Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarships

The Australian National University offers a number of Summer Research Scholarships in most research schools, faculties and centres during the summer vacation period. Offers are made subject to the availability of funding, appropriate supervision and accommodation.

Summer Research Scholars are expected to participate in an ongoing research project or to undertake a substantial piece of supervised research work, which may result in a report/paper, possibly for publication.

Scholarships are intended for currently enrolled undergraduate students in universities in Australia and New Zealand completing the third or fourth year of a full-time course leading to an honours degree. (Final year students should also be applying for a postgraduate scholarship/award if interested in proceeding to higher degree studies in 2004.) The University may also consider accepting outstanding second year students who are intending to complete an honours degree.

These scholarships are not available to international students.
