Faculty Undergraduate Scholarships


Dickins Scholarship in Engineering

One scholarship of $2,000 is available for award to applicants who are enrolled in the Fourth Year of the program leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Engineering, are studying in the area of, or undertaking a project in, Signal Processing and/or Telecommunications and can demonstrate financial need. If there is no applicant in the field specified the Selection Committee will select another field. Please refer to Conditions of Award

Engineering Scholarships

There are three scholarships available each year to full-time students who are enrolled in the program leading to the award of the Bachelor of Engineering degree and who are in Year 2, 3 or 4 of the program. These are known as ANU Enterprise Engineering Scholarships and each scholarship is valued $A4,000pa. Selection shall be made on academic merit. Please refer to Conditions of Award

Engineering Scholarship for Women known as the Lisa Brodribb Women in Engineering Scholarship

The Lisa Brodribb Women in Engineering Scholarship valued at $5,000pa is available each year to a full-time female student who is enrolled the program leading to the award of the Bachelor of Engineering degree. Selection shall be made on academic merit. Please refer to Conditions of Award

CSIRO ICT Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) Scholarship

A scholarship valued at $5,000pa is available to a student enrolling full-time in the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) program payable each year for the duration of the program. Eligibile applicants shall normally be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Assessment will be made as part of the admission process and an applicant's academic achievement in their final year of studies at High School/College. Please refer to Conditions of Award

Honours Scholarships


Computer Science Research Project Honours Year Scholarship

A number of scholarships valued at not less than $5,000 shall be available to applicants who will be enrolled on a full-time basis in the Fourth Year of a program of study leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Software Engineering, or the Honours Year of a program of study leading to the award of the degree of bachelor of Information Technology with Honours or the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science.

Selection for the scholarship will be on the basis of academic merit for students undertaking a field of study that is approved by the funding research program for that year.

CSIRO ICT Honours Scholarships

A number of scholarships valued at $5,000pa are available to students undertaking the final year of an honours level undergraduate degree in the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science who are undertaking a project relevant to research of CSIRO, ICT. Please refer to Conditions of Award or contact the Faculty office for further information. Applications are now open for 2008 CSIRO ICT Honours Scholarships.

Paul Thistlewaite Memorial Honours Year Scholarship

One scholarship of $5,000 is available for award to the best academically qualified female student who will be enrolled in the Fourth Year of a program of study leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Software Engineering or the Honours Year of a program leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Information Technology with Honours. The selection committee may also take into consideration the field of study in which the applicant has expressed an interest, the availability of appropriate supervision, the applicant's previous academic record and reports from two academic referees familiar with the applicant's work.

If there are no eligible female applicants, the scholarship will be awarded to the best academically qualified male applicant.

Work Placement Scholarships


Australian Computer Society Foundation

A number of Work Placement Scholarships are available in 2007 for eligible students enrolled in third year of a program of study leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Software Engineering. Students will work for two days concurrently with their program of study. The scholarships are valued at between $12,000 to $15,000. Eligible applicants shall normally be Australian citizens or permanent residents though some places may be available for international students. Not available in 2008.
