The ANU is a world-class university located in Canberra, the national capital of Australia. It is Australia's only national university. Recently Shanghai Jiatong University conducted a ranking of world universities. In the world list, ANU came in the top 50, with the next Australian University coming at #92. In the Asia/Pacific List, The Australian National University ranked #3.

    Engineering and information sciences at the ANU takes advantage of the inter-disciplinary nature of the University's research strengths in information and communications technology, engineering, and related mathematical and physical sciences. There are approximately 150 computer scientists, engineers, physicists, mathematicians, and information technology specialists across eight faculties and research schools who are involved in internationally renowned research in engineering and information science at the ANU.
